As the first film in what we hope will become a series, we will be screening The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 in Bound to Be Read Books on Sunday the 24th. Here is the film description:

“Footage shot by a group of Swedish journalists documenting the Black Power Movement in the United States is edited together by a contemporary Swedish filmmaker.”

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP on Facebook; be sure to invite your friends, too! We will collect voluntary donations for the venue. It is a small space so there will probably only be seating for 20 people. Please come prepared and on time knowing that. We’re looking forward to a fun night and a good discussion!
